Desert Technology needed more than a basic business website. The business required a practical platform that could combine its public product catalogue with the administrative tools needed to manage daily operations.
The public website was designed around how customers already interact with the business. Visitors can search and browse available products, filter the catalogue by category and brand, view discounted prices and promotions, check stock availability, and contact Desert Technology directly through WhatsApp or telephone. Dedicated service content also presents the company’s CCTV, networking, software, repair, installation, and technical support capabilities.
The website uses a responsive, mobile-first layout because many customers access the business through mobile devices and social-media links. Product cards, navigation, filters, enquiry actions, promotions, and contact options were designed to remain clear and accessible across different screen sizes.
Behind the public website, I developed a central administration dashboard that gives authorised users control over the business’s digital operations. Products, categories, brands, stock details, promotions, customers, orders, payments, receipts, quotations, follow-ups, notifications, website content, and general settings can be managed from one interface.
The catalogue is fully dashboard-driven. Desert Technology can add new products, update prices, change stock availability, assign brands and categories, publish promotions, and upload product images without changing website code. Empty brands and categories are automatically excluded from customer-facing filters so that the catalogue remains relevant and uncluttered.
The system includes order and customer-management workflows that help the business maintain clearer records. Payments can be recorded against orders, balances can be tracked, and documents such as receipts and quotations can be generated and shared with customers.
Role-based access was introduced for Owner, Admin, and Staff accounts. Each role receives the appropriate level of access, allowing the owner to maintain control over sensitive settings while delegating operational responsibilities to other users.
The final result is a responsive technology retail and business management platform that strengthens Desert Technology’s online presence, reduces manual administration, and provides a scalable foundation for future digital services and automation.
